Double Six Club TV

This online TV channel provides live sessions of Domino published bands (joint venture Boomerang TV & Domino). This originally started out as Contact High TV about 2 years ago where it started with a handful of sessions. I worked on the revamp in the last year and a half working with the GM/Director at Domino to help set it up with the functionalities it needed to reach his aims. The first thing I did was change it from the studenty design it had to a more sophisticated modern clean look co-ordinating with a designer and internal stakeholders to get the logo and design right.

I then worked closely with a software developer to get it ramped up with all the right share options and functionalities to get increased eye balls as well as looking at video advertising, an iphone app and the real tricky bit.. a tracking system for embedded plays.

As it quickly became obvious most people were engaging through facebook first step was to stop trying to ping people out of there but get the player working in facebook.

Archie Bronson Outfit session playing in Facebook newsfeed for viral beardy action.
Hover on the player in the newsfeed and the main image pings back to reveal share options and other tracks.
I also worked with the people on the ground at The Gate (where it was filmed in Cardiff) to co-ordinate catching the bands when they were in town and getting the look and feel of the recordings right including re-editing where necessary and timing the roll out.

I managed the social media sites we set up too. My aim was to have preview and behind the scenes footage ready around recording to roll out as teasers ahead of the sessions going live. Unfortunately this didn't always quite happen like that. There were different crews and people and the communication never quite happened so I ended up taking screenshots of the video and using those instead. Facebook connect for the main site would be the next step. They've tons of great sessions in the bag for when it has a proper big push. Cannae talk about when thats happening or why, shame I'm not going to be there but will be great! If they get all the tracking in and start to monitor it properly they should be able to really work the community well and make further conclusions to refine how they roll out etc. In the meantime, you can keep track at their Facebook fan page or by following them on Twitter.
