So, it just struck me that I've not mentioned any of the weird and wonderful album formats I worked on at Domino! I'm particularly fond of the Max Tundra kosher chicken soup album format. It was the first digital / physical hybrid we attempted and it created a ton of online PR when people found out. We also had a little fun with it too. And who knows, perhaps Ben will land a primetime cooking slot if he ever feels the need to take a break from his keyboard?

On a more serious note we quickly learnt from this and the James Yorkston boxset that actually there's a lot to be said for going that extra mile. It generated a lot of online buzz and a ton of album sales in the mart at a higher retail price than usual. If you give the fans something they want that feels special they will part with more than £7.99. AND you can have fun with this stuff / use it to express the creativity and personality of the artist involved. 

As well as the standard album, fans got an exclusive bonus "reworked" version with the download that accompanied the can.
