CASH Music Flower

CASH music Soundplayer
Just a quick update on the work I've started developing websites for bands. This one's not ready but just wanted to comment a bit on the CASH music tools and various email capture tools I've been using. Of course a number of sites out there offer their own systems (Bandcamp, Topspin etc.) as a lure to get bands on side to later make a percentage on digital sales / merch. But this stuff is not that hard to do. And for a lot of new musicians its probably for the best to steer clear of putting all your eggs in one basket.

The latest update to the CASH Music tools includes Flower, a JavaScript library designed to give musicians easy access to UI tools like image/video lightboxes and sound players. I've installed this to the Mothlite site with the files hosted by Amazon-S3 and installed a sign up for free MP3 box which I've plugged into Mailchimp (although Aweber would have been fine too). I've also integrated facebook and added in a tool to update outwards from blogs and into facebook as well as making sure all the various social network buttons are integrated as well. OK, I have a bit of practical knowledge about the principles of a lot of this stuff, but its really not been as hard as I had thought it would be. Design work, which is often fiddly, is more time consuming for sure!
